smackie9 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Here's a tip: don't flirt for weeks thinking being that invested they are a for sure thing, and it's time for a $$ date. Chatting over text is not dating. If you like someone, chat with them for no more than 3 times and ask them out. If they flake on you, give excuses like "I need to get to know you more" ditch them and move on. IMO you shouldn't have to work that hard to get a simple date. If they had any real interest in you they would jump at the chance to meet you. 1
smackie9 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 some guys think that if they don't stick it out and work on getting a date, they feel it will be a missed opportunity. The only missed opportunity is keeping your money in your wallet. 1
Jethro Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 With gas and meal expenses I'm out about $40 bucks I wonder why the date went bad?? She doesn't like McDonalds? 2
Author Gold Pile Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 Yes, I understand your "fair is fair" thing, but it's really customary for whomever initiates the date to pay. If a woman is saavy at dating, she will at least offer to pay by the 3rd date. Two dates as a "show of good faith" from the man is reciprocated unless it's clear that the man just always likes to pay for the woman. In the past, when I got to a third date, I'll excuse myself to go to the ladies room after the order is taken and take the waitress aside to give her my card to run before the bill is even brought to the table. This eliminates the fumbling and appearance of the "fake offer" to pay [/QUOTE] Wow! If a lady did this with me (on 2nd date, not 3rd), I'd be considering marriage lol.
