What do you guys think the best course of action is?

I currently work in a small clinic with about two other coworkers so we pretty much see each all day, all the time. I'm in my late twenties and my company recently hired a assistant to help out. She's in her early twenties which really has no relevance, however, I am starting to really like her (we have similar interests, view points, ..etc) and I want to ask her out. I am her boss and I don't want to make things awkward. Also in my past, I dated a coworker prior at a different job and when things went sour, it definitely made for a awkward work situation.

One last thing to mention is I'm not really sure how interested this girl is in me, I don't get the vibe that she really wants anything more than being coworkers, and this could perhaps just be because I am her boss but than again maybe she really isn't interested. I don't want to over think things, I figure I should just ask her out at some point and see what happens.

Any advise guys on how to make this as least awkward as possible? Or should I just give up on this thought for now?

Haven't you learned anything from the last time??

I tried to do this once....dating a co worker. I DO NOT recommend it at all. Having said that, I also learnt if you don't try you don't know...just depends how much you want to risk trying.

I don't care how attractive or sweet she is. Is one woman worth a sexual harassment suit?

Plus, you can't put too much stock in how she acts around you because you are her boss. I mean what's she going to do? Be rude to her employer?

Not only will it affect your professional/working relationship with her, but as well as the other coworkers. You are a boss, dating coworkers will undermine your authority. In other words everyone that works for you will lose their respect for you.
