bigfred Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I received a caller id block phone call, the thing is my work at sometimes i receive customers call me from restricted numbers so i need to anser them, but they always talk and i fix thier IP probplems (tech) but this time and in the past its been my EX without talking just pure silence on ther hand, then i just hang up. if its her calling am i breaking no contact? do i even answser the phone if it comes again, what do i dooooooo?
ZiggyZoo Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 You may have to change your number. Geez, she's something else, isn't she? I don't think it counts as breaking NC if you don't call her though.
PegNosePete Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 If the caller doesn't speak, how do you know it's her? You mention IP, are you working with VoIP? Silence on the line is often caused by firewall issues. If you're sure it's nuisance calls and it's often, then tell them you're going to report them to your carrier as nuisance calls.

I think the solution lies within your own heart, Advice is great to hear, but only a start, If you truly want to hear from her and play that silly game, Then maybe after the silence, you should utter her name? It'll either be her or not, and maybe she'll respond to saying her name, That's lets her know you know it's her, and in a way that's fairly tame, However, a phone call with silence without ever actually saying anything to you? What makes you think she's drop the bomb suddenly by saying "I miss you too"?

So i should utter her name next time she calls restricted? knowing her she would just hang up due to that i know its her and she would feel like a dummy. if there is silence still then i really know its her she wont give in she would just call me after a couple of days like if nothing has happend and she has broken no contact. Question: if i do pick up a restricted number and she does say its her should i just hang up or break NC?
seminoles84 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I'm really confused on exactly what you expect us to tell you what to do? You should "utter her name" or whatever and if it's her, tell her that you need to be left alone. Seriously.............

Which is it? Do you rarely get calls that are restricted, or do you get them quite frequently for work? I'm thinking you're again just looking for a reason to justify being in touch with her. My money is on you posting in a day or so saying that you answered one of these calls and it was her and she somehow tricked you into a conversation. A conversation juuuust vague enough to keep you confused and messed up. Get a new work number, or else send out a group text telling anyone who calls that you will not answer any restricted calls. They are welcome to leave a voice mail with contact information, but you won't be answering any directly. Then, DON'T ANSWER. Edited April 15, 2015 by ZiggyZoo
