redwing7 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I met this girl yesterday and told her we should hangout Friday but insists she can't wait that long. So we're gonna hangout tomorrow night. We're both 18. I told her since it's going to be cold and and kinda stormy, we should go to the lake, build a fort, and play board games inside while sipping hot chocolate. She asked me if I was being serious. Is this a bad date idea or a good one? Thanks !
Poppyolive Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I think it sounds sweet and romantic. However, if this is a first date and you don't know each other, its a little bit too much.
d0nnivain Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 It's unusual. If I were her, I'd decline but then again I'm not much of a fort builder. Can you go for hot chocolate somewhere else that offers more protection from the elements?
Fhsjkfjrhsdh3646 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Yeah it sounds nice, but it's a bit too romantic for a first date. Do something more casual like bowling or whatever people under 21 do when they can't go to a bar for drinks. coffee maybe?

Come up with another idea, but actually I wouldn't do board games because most get boring really quick. Dates like that sound dumb and boring but in reality they can be unforgettable if you carry it outright.

Being alone in such a private setting for a first date might be awkward. She might think it's a little immature too. So let her get to know you and see that you are just being fun and creative. Later, you can do stuff like that if she's into it too.
Author redwing7 Posted April 13, 2015 Author Posted April 13, 2015 Thanks to everyone who commented. I told her it was a joke and now invited her to see a movie along with food after. Thanks again everyone! 1
Syberia Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 So in a few dates when you know each other better, you can be like ...so remember that time when I had [silly idea?] She'll be all over it (and hopefully you). And maybe I'm wrong, I haven't dated in years, but isn't the food supposed to come before the movie?
Gary S Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Are you kidding me? - I love it!! Ahhhh... to be innocent and young
