For those married 15 yr ++; after reaching a stable life , achieving stable income , nice family , assets that you always dreamt of...

then one day you ask your partner :

what are your dreams ?

and you try to see if your dreams coincide ...

How many of you have something to share as a dream ... how many share exactly same dreams , and how many share none !

I haven't been married for 15 years. Even my longest dating relationship was only 12.

We do talk about goals. I don't know that we talk about dreams, although we have contemplated living the 1st years of our retirement as ex-pats on some tropical island.

I considered sharing the dreams we had together but sorry it's too sad now. :-(

We share dreams of travel and adventure. Sometimes our plans start as mutual dreams.

We also sit in the backyard together and dream up home renovation projects :)

Sometimes our dreams don't match up, but dreaming is free. We can dream with wild abandon.

A few weeks ago my wife and I were out having dinner on a date night and I asked her to pretend it's 10 years later and everything in life went perfectly, what would life look like in 10 years. It was an interesting look into each of our desires and we've referenced that conversation a few times since.
