I was with a girl for a few years, i worked across the country so would leave our place every morning at 6:30am and return home around 7:00pm for work. On my birthday i found out she was seeing a guy behind my back every time i was out at work. I broke it off there and then and bar 2 flings that lasted a few weeks each ive been single for around a year now.

I moved closer to work, but work have recently posted me out to my home town to work on a project. I dont really have any friends, as they all went off and found their own friends when i started working.

Over the last few months i got close to a couple of guys that ive known for years, so i had people to hang out with, at 22 i dont really want to sit at home alone all the time. One of these guys made a comment that he would always see me in a store he worked checkout with my ex and i told him who she was and what she did to me.

About a week ago, I happened to click on her facebook and she had tagged my mate in something, i found it wierd so messaged him asking about it considering a few ago he had no idea who she was and after saying its my ex fiance that cheated he is now talking. He told me she was just a mate and our other mates backed it up that she was his sisters friend and he was just friendly with her.

Last weekend i saw he had put a story on snapchat of her lying in his bed, within 5 minutes of looking at it i found he had blocked me on snapchat, i looked at facebook and he had blocked me on facebook. I had a mate look at his facebook and my exes and the two of them are all over each others facebook, not only that but they are also in photos out with my mates that denied anything was going on.

So now, I have mates that lied to me to cover up another mate who is sleeping with my ex fiance. I dont really know what to do about all this.

Do..? You do nothing!

There's nothing you can do!

What is it you expect to be able to do, that would make any difference?

What you want is some sense of righteousness fulfilled.

You'd like everyone to stand up apologise and you'd like this 'mate' and your ex- to never see each other or speak to one another, again.

Well sadly, that's not going to happen.

people are people, and people are attracted to other people and he had an ulterior motive, and others were trying to protect your feelings.

All the wrong way to go about things of course, but that's immaturity for you.

You're only 22. Very young. (I know, I sound patronising, but I've 'been there' and am over twice your age, so I can see youth from where i'm sitting.)

Believe me, the older you get, the more people you meet and the more you date, the less important this will be.

Right now, it's huge, I get that. But honestly, these people will fall by the wayside as you move in different circles and cultivate different acquaintances.

In time, you may even find yourself struggling to remember their names.

Your "mate's" and ex sound well suited to each other, with any sort of luck they'll all catch something really grotty.:D

Ignore them all, find new friends. You deserve better than this.

Sounds terrible man, cut all of these people out of your life, especially the ahole who thoughts snapping you a picture of your ex girl in his bed was a good idea...

I have a moto I follow I urge you to follow as well...I don't associate with people that have no backbone, no dignity and no respect for themselves or people around them. What your friends don't realize is that this guy would do the same thing to them..

Looks like you are better off cutting ties with them...and remember don't trust anybody you have known for only a few months to a year.
