Be dynamic!

Be upbeat!

Be mysterious, but interesting!

Be entertaining! Make her laugh!

*sigh*

Man dating takes it out of me some days.

Seriously, sometimes I just want to show up and say;

"Eh, this is me. Sorry, I don't have the energy today to be all upbeat and entertaining. I'm a decent guy, but I'm not perfect. Surely we can find a little kindness for each other as people and accept no one is "on" all the time".

Neowulf, dude, just be yourself...

Yeah, no one wants "just yourself". They want "super awesome, upbeat, entertaining, fun Guy!". At least it feels that way a lot of the time.

Of course, the show can't go on forever and people just end up with inflated expectations.

Finding the balance between making a good impression and being someone your not is tricky sometimes.

But that type of self-improvement will help you in all walks of life.... with your friends, family and career. It's for you mainly, and that's a good thing.

Neowulf can haz bucket?;)

With women you really click with, you won't need to pretend to be anything and you'll make a good impression without even trying. Sometimes you can't fake confidence, certainly not in dating. I have a suggestion. Stop dating for a while and just put yourself out there meet people, find people who share your interests, hopefully make friends. Without the pressure of trying to impress anyone, or potential dates, you can be the way your are most comfortable.

The key to having people cut you slack is to cut other people slack yourself.

Not just in dating but in everything.

After all, you're not just a performing seal on dates. You're a performing seal in front of your co-workers, bosses, cool people you want to rope in as friends, etc.

If you feel the pressure, then be nice to someone who is a little geeky or socially awkward. Maybe they want to be friends with you.

Aww, come now Writergal.

Thought you were better than that.

I may not always agree with your opinions, but I have a great deal of respect for you.

Men Are Nothing More Than Clowns To The Modern Woman.

Women don’t seek out comfort or stability in men anymore—they seek entertainment. They seek distraction. They seek hedonistic pleasure. This is why provider men (beta males) are so hopelessly failing today to secure the commitment of beautiful women in their prime, and this is why even lesser alpha males fail to enter relationships with women beyond a few bangs. Once the entertainment or novelty you provide her declines—and it inevitably will—she moves on to something or someone else. In essence, the only way you can keep a girl is if you adopt the mentality of a soap opera writer, adding a cliffhanger to the end of each episode that keeps a woman interested when being a good man no longer does.

I don't need to be those things to be successful.

I'm introverted by nature. Being "outgoing" is freaking exhausting.

I'm quiet, reserved. Sure, I can be witty and funny.. but in small doses.

I'm not a performing seal, I'm just a guy. A human male.

I have good days, bad days. I have days where I'm decidedly *not* fun to be around.

Yet I have a good heart, I try to be considerate, reliable. I try to take care of the people I care about, my friends and family.

I try to be a good man.

I wish I felt like that was enough these days. Experience is starting to tell me it's not...
