I don't know.....I will say that as one who spent most of her married life lonely and starving, the message I got was that my needs were silly, my needs were "base" and "fleshly," and that if I were a better, deeper person I'd get over it. And I certainly wouldn't leave over it unless I was some sort of defective freak.

 

I left anyway, I have no regrets.
