Author pasteurization Posted June 20, 2015 Author Posted June 20, 2015 I just don't understand the motivation here. If the situation were reversed, and I was in love with someone and preparing to get married, I can't imagine texting this stuff an ex that I know is hung up on me, and who has already told me to stay away. It seems beyond clueless at best, and cruel at worst. What is going through her head?
dumbass2 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I just don't understand the motivation here. If the situation were reversed, and I was in love with someone and preparing to get married, I can't imagine texting this stuff an ex that I know is hung up on me, and who has already told me to stay away. It seems beyond clueless at best, and cruel at worst. What is going through her head? You don't know what's going in her head, none of us on here do and she may not. Bottom line is that she is acting in a selfish manner. You say you would not act that same way, but I'm sure she still has feelings for you and if you did for her you might be tempted to do the same thing. It doesn't mean they want back, but it is normal to miss someone that you were just in a relationship with. It's hard, but you need to try and stop worrying about why she does what she does. You will never know for sure. Just control what you can control and you have the ability to block her out at this point if you want. I'm not sure why you wouldn't, seeing how it affects you and knowing that she is getting married so there is no hope there. Do what is best for you, but remember that you will not get the answers to "why" and it doesn't matter, what matters is that she broke up with you and is getting married.
