Ok so me and this girl talk nearly every day on Facebook. Im 21 and she is 19. we have known each other for a few months and have only met in person like 3 times. Each time when there was a bunch of other people around so we didn't really say much to each other.

when we talk on Facebook the conversations are quite lengthy like 2 hours sometimes. We talk about actually things not just pointless small talk. Maybe im over thinking this but honestly I really don't think you would spend hours of your day talking to someone just to remain "friends" . Its come to the point now where im beginning to think that she may have an interest in me and my feelings are slowly growing also.

Im terrible at all this dating/relationship stuff as I have never had a "proper" one before and I have trouble reading things. I really don't want to make a mistake here and loose the friendship all together.

Im one of those guys that talks heaps to people online come the real thing and when it comes to actually meeting people I hide in a corner. I can tell that she is super shy also. I had a games night thing at my house last week and had some friends over and invited her and her sister. They both were very hesitant to even pick up a controller and play with everyone but they still had a good time regardless. We talk so much online together and when we see each other its just like "hey" and we go do our own thing.

I really hate myself for being so indecisive with these things. I think way to much to the point where I get stressed about it. (So ironic that im writing a post like this)

So I dont really know where to go from here. Any general advice on my situation would be great. Stuff like this has happened in the past and they actually got into a relationship and the communication between us dropped all together.

Yea, you should go for it, definitely. Since she is reserved it gives you a chance to take the lead... just don't overthink it. Ask her out to do something where there is more than just talk... off the top of my head... bowling or pool. Ask her questions and get her to talk about herself. Open ended, not yes-no questions. Laugh, drink, eat and have a good time. Just be yourself and show her a good time. Simple.

Ok, well we were just talking on facebook and I told her I had to goto the city tomorrow to buy some wigs and do some shopping tomorrow for a convention Im going to on the weekend. I asked her if she wanted to come along with me and she said yes! My heart was beating so fast to even send her the message asking her to come along. Im so glad I actually asked her. And we just exchanged numbers too!

EDIT: Shes bringing her sister along too, and I guess this is just a way to help with her shyness? regardless It doesnt really mind me, as long as stuff is progressing im happy

You two have only known each other a few months, met in person 3 times amongst a crowd of people, and she is incredibly shy, so once she gets more comfortable with you, I'll bet her sister's presence fades. Way to bite the bullet and ask her out!
