I was watching a video and it was stated that these are dull topics for a 1st date when trying to make a connection.

Guess that has been my problem

I am screwed... I spent my last date with both of us showing each other really cute pictures of our nieces and nephews and talking about our siblings and parents...

We talked about where we grew up and what it was like. What we did and didn't like about it.

We spoke about work. Again what we like and don't like about it.

Didn't chat about education as we had then moved on to talking about pets and showing each other cute pictures of pets...

Blimey. Guess I better be more witty or something...

I am scratching my head at posts like these when even havinghavintvinvintoggl

...having to worry about what is "boring" when conversing about these topics? ?

It's only a matter of opinion of what is considered "boring"...is it not?

Also if the person gets so bored easily, why even date them??

- it depends on how you approach it... is it done in a prying way, or just small-talk? Sharing pics of family can be fun.

I'll give you a quick example of how it can be fun. If you ask me about my job, I might say, "I'm a writer. It's a lot better than my old job down at the the.....................................

...................wait for it...................

..............asbestos factory!

Just don't let it turn into an interview. Deflect with humor or change the subject, or ask the same question back to shut it down.

1. Tell me about your day!

2. Have you seen (band, movie, art exhibit, Walking Dead episode, whatever)

3. what do you think of this place? (where you're meeting)

4. Share a funny story about your day

I guess what I am saying is that it's the time to see if you can have good rapport with the person and not the time to find out about all the big stuff, that can come later.

Depends on the person, but

hopes

dreams

aspirations

personal bitches (we all have them and love to air them)

I was going to say something like that as well.

The OP is correct, those PUA nono topics are there because she's been asked that a million times and even when someone asks you it feels like you're talking out a soundtrack (boring a fk).

Sounds like a positive experience on the whole, don't over think things as it just fills your mind which a ton of what if's and makes you worry with no reason.

She responded to my text this morning asking how I am enjoying my day off. So I will contact her some this week to set up a second date

2am right before I went to sleep and her response came at 11am this morning.

You don't text a girl in the middle of the night unless it's a booty call.

You can text her RIGHT after you get home (as long as its before or around the time she gets home most likely), and give her a good night/made it home safe text, but after her reply you go silent. Earliest response you should make is the following afternoon.
