Sunshine1234 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I find myself getting better as far as coping during the day with the break up. I get angry with the reasons I know we can't be together and how he treated me was not fair. I'm becoming frustrated with myself. I'm so tired of it by the end of the day that I go to bed with the angry feelings knowing that I don't deserve it and that were better off apart. The part that is so hard for me as I wake up in the morning thinking of him immediately and all of the good thoughts. Any ideas from anyone on how to flip this around or coping methods to start the day not on a just thinking of him and all of the good things would be great. Thanks

Thanks Give yourself some patience, yes very easy said. Those memories are your brains way of dealing with the grief. At some point it gets less and finally you realize you have woken up plenty of times not thinking of him. It seems unthinkable but it will. For now it we be a tough of time that you have to wade through. For some things in life there are unfortunately no short-cuts. But, every breath and every step gets you closer.

badpenny Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Buy some positive affirmation CDs or guided meditations... play them last thing at night, and really concentrate on what they guide you to do....
Itspointless Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Your welcome, I know its awful. It took me really long. But some on this board seem to be very talented when it comes to speedy recovery Try to redirect your thoughts when thinking of him, but you have to be aware as burying your feelings is in the end not really helpful.
