Simon Phoenix Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 First of all, No Contact isn't a team thing. It's an individual thing. Only you can break your No Contact. As for when to break it, only do it if a) they say they made a mistake and want to be back with you (yes, this does happen) or b) you are recovered, completely indifferent and have no expectations of anything and won't be set back by anything.

It's unbelievable... all the things that go through a dumpees head. One extreme to the next with me for sure. I'm not ready, thats a fact... It'll just drive you crazy sitting around waiting for someone to say "I made a mistake"... doesnt seem like it would ever happen... shes got a big head.

Well, you aren't supposed to be sitting around and waiting. That's a waste of your time because there's no indication that she'll ever say those words -- in fact, she almost certainly won't. If you are spending No Contact sitting around like a pud waiting for your ex to come to you you are wasting your time. No Contact is an active time. Of course you're going to mourn, but you're also supposed to be moving forward, evolving, working on things you'd like to improve about yourself, picking up new hobbies or interests, restarting old projects, meeting new people (not necessarily to date, but to be friends with), reconnecting with old friends and family, etc. Sitting around waiting your ex out doesn't help you heal -- it just delays it. No Contact is a great opportunity for self-improvement and self-reflection, so take advantage.
