lovexo Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 So I met this guy on a dating website (thinking he was actually looking for a relationship not just a date or w/e) we went on 3 dates but I had no idea he didn't want a relationship until afterwards, there was no sex or anything sexual but now that he knows I want a relationship he doesn't talk to me much .. do you think it's possible that he likes me and that's why he ran away? because he is avoiding ALL feelings he told me dating leads to feelings and he doesn't want that

Men don't run away from women they actually like...after three dates. That's crazy thinking, sorry.
xpaperxcutx Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Accept at face value. Most men on OLD are not looking for serious relationships. 1
Gaeta Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Men are simple. If he says he is not looking for a relationship then it means he is not looking for a relationship. There is no double meaning behind. Women almost always have double meaning behind what they say but not men. So if he put in his profile he is looking for a long term relationship and after 3 dates with you he says he is not ready for a relationship it just means after spending a little bit of time with you he realizes he does not want a long term relationship with you. Time to go to next.

KatZee Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 do you think it's possible that he likes me and that's why he ran away? because he is avoiding ALL feelings he told me dating leads to feelings and he doesn't want that Not even a little bit. Men don't run away from women who blow their socks off. In fact, just the opposite. You will KNOW if a guy is into you, he will always be in contact, he will plan dates, he will want to see you. Men are hunters, and highly territorial. They don't want other men to have what they want, and what they like. I think he ran because he knows you want something legit, and that's not what he wants at all. He wants a casual partner and that's not what you are.
fitnessfan365 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Accept at face value. Most men on OLD are not looking for serious relationships. Actually that's a mis-conception. If you've been told that repeatedly by guys online, it means they just don't want a relationship with YOU. In general, a lot of men actually want to be serious with a woman that knocks their socks off. Plus, when it comes along it is always a complete surprise. I mean I am about as skeptical and a realist as they come. Multi-dater, lots of flings, etc.. But that doesn't mean that I had commitment phobia. I just never met a woman that made me want to commit fully. However, I knew after the first date that my GF was special and she continued to prove me right until we made it official. You just need to meet a guy that sees you as that one in a million.
