AVarma Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I think most Guys/Girls lose their V Card before they're 20... Not saying this is the case for everyone, but the majority. Yes I know. If you're still a virgin by 18 you're in a minority.
BronzeAgeJaeger217 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Not at all, I would say it starts to become a little unusual if the person is over 21, but it gets critical I would say if the person is over 25
SammySammy Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 No, not at all. I was also a virgin until I was 22.
BronzeAgeJaeger217 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Isn't that the case with you? I would say 25 is when the critical point for when it's too old or odd to be a virgin
No_Go Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Well I was nearly a decade older (27.5) when I lost mine. I was worried about opinions too, I even tried to hide it from my partner then. But later I discovered that many of my friends lost theirs in mid to late 20s too - we're just not admitting it at the time My current bf lost his after 35 - his choice. So at 18 I'd say you really have nothing to worry about in that respect. Plus nobody needs to know unless you want to tell them. Many people older and younger and younger than me that aren't one thinks it is . Is it ?

Women aren't ridiculed for being Virgins in their Mid 20s, whereas a Guy is effectively emasculated if people find out. Lol. The ability to have sex with Women is part of what makes a Man and not a Boy.

No_Go Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I can imagine it is harder for a man to admit virginity... But I think it is mainly the social aspects that cause the stigma, i.e. behaving weird on dates/female friends, being very shy/uncommunicative etc. People erroneously focus on the consequence (virginity), not the cause (being socially anxious in most cases). But as a woman, I also got many raised eyebrows in my mid 20s: "Why are you single? People were not aware that I was a virgin, but inferred so, and were curious. Not necessarily negative but I've perceived it that way back then. In the age of the OP (18), however, I think there is really no point for worries. If he's getting negative comments, I bet these are 99% from people in the same age bracket (teens). Yes it's more normal for Women, because you're more choosey by nature. Arieswoman Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Jet96, Q.Is there anything wrong with being a virgin at 18 ? A. No.
carhill Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Is there anything wrong with being a virgin at 18 ? Virginity is a very personal condition and, if you're good with it, that's the only relevant answer. That said, you will be exposed to a lifetime of people's opinions, some being more vociferous and outspoken than others, so learning to deal with them will assist in social interactions throughout life. 1
sagetalk Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Many people older and younger and younger than me that aren't one thinks it is . Is it ? There is nothing wrong with it, consider yourself blessed. Some kids your age have a small child they now need to care for without even having a college degree. That is not a life you want live. 1

Condoms + Pill and you're good to go. Sure there's a cosmic chance, but i'd take those odds. 1
AVarma Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I would say 25 is when the critical point for when it's too old or odd to be a virgin I'm curious how you got this number? For me personally I've always felt 18 was the critical number. If you start college a virgin that's pretty sad. If you finish college a virgin well.... welcome to my loser club. The ability to have sex with Women is part of what makes a Man and not a Boy. This man knows the truth.
bluefairy812 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I was a virgin until I was 19 years old. I can count the number of partners on one hand still. No STDs. I don't regret it. 1

If you're 18 you're still in high school, or just finishing. Yes lots of people in HS have sex (more than most people think), but many don't. I think most people lose their virginity DURING college... They may be 18-22. I think most lose it before they're 20 though.
Harradin Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Nothing wrong with it. I didn't lose my virginity until I was 19 at university!
mojo1988 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Nope! I was a virgin until I was 20. I actually wished I had waited longer. My number is very low and I still wish I had waited lol, just makes things a lot less complicated when sex isn't involved. If you meet the right person and it's the right time do what you want but wait as long as you can!
nyny123 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Many people older and younger and younger than me that aren't one thinks it is . Is it ? It's not weird at all. I was a virgin up until the age 24. I'm now 27.

Charles in Charge Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Many people older and younger and younger than me that aren't one thinks it is . Is it ? If you're a girl no. If you're a guy yes.
BronzeAgeJaeger217 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 If you're a girl no. If you're a guy yes. Absolutely, that's the cold harsh truth
ColdandLonelyinAK Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I was a virgin until I was 20, and proud of it.
guest569 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Nothing wrong with it at all! Its probably a lot more common than you might think and more common than people let on.
Dreamworld Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I was a virgin and had never had a boyfriend when I was eighteen. I wasnt upset about being a virgin, but I felt envious of my peers who always had no problems attracting guys. I still have no idea why but after turning 20 was when guys started really showing interest in me. Was it a change in pheremones or something? I lost my virginity at 22 to my first boyfriend. I dont think there is anything wrong with you. Maybe you are a late bloomer like me?
cessna Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I lost mine at 20, only a day or two from my 21st birthday. I wasn't proud of it, I wasn't ashamed of it, it's just the age it happened. I can't help the fact that girls weren't interested in my sexually before that point. I think once you get to the age of around 25 and you're still a virgin you will possibly struggle with the fact that the vast majority of people your age will have had sex.
