Adales910 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I highly recommend taking a vacation on your own post break up. Just to get away and not have to worry about anything. Just relax and have a peace of mind. I understand many people do not have this privilege but if you do I really recommend it. The 6th marks 4 months no contact. After month two i didn't really think I was going to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I cried myself to sleep every night. But then I asked myself why am I so sad and why do I want someone to come back who never made me a priority to begin with. I wanted to do something for myself for once (I spoiled her physically emotionally and any other way you could think of and she took it for granted). So you know what I did? I booked myself a vacation to my favorite city in the US. Miami. I'm posting this now from my hotel as I watch tennis ( my body is fried from the beach) lol.while some might think this is depressing, it's not for everyone. But sometimes we just need a peace of mind and to get away. If happiness for me right now is eating some of the best Cuban food ever and receiving a massage on the beach. It may not be for you but do something you always wanted to! You have no one holding you back! 3
AIJ Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Yeah I went to Tenerife for a few days about a month after my break up. It was bliss, not being able to use my phone for those few days really put my mind at ease. I came back feeling a thousand times better than I did, really helped me towards moving on!
TunaCat Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I could really use a trip right now. Too bad I'm jobbless and having to rely on my savings right now until I get a job.
Jonp219 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Wait so you're going on vacation, by yourself? I think it sounds awesome. Just something I wouldn't be able to do without people around lol
Premiere Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I highly recommend the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Basically this guy gets his heart broken and decides to vacation in Hawaii. While it's a pretty lighthearted movie, it did make me feel a little better. Probably not as good as real palm trees and piña coladas, but good for when you're stuck at home with your thoughts (:
aMguilts Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 good for you Adales Have a drink for me:cool: clink clink I am planning to go away by myself this year too. Just wish i had the cash to do it sooner than what i can but even planning it ---- is keeping my mind on something positive And people -we ALL need something to look forward to. enjoy your own time OP:) aM
