bubblygrl5 Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 My bf and I had a little "tiff" yesterday. So, what else is new. Anyway, he came over for a bit to try and talk about it. He's got keys, so he let himself right in. I told him not now, I am in the middle of something I have to finish - but I am willing to talk later. He says OK, and reaches for my comp to check his emails or whatever. I erase the history of my comp a lot cause I had a lot of viruses and things - and I erase the toolbar thing with all the viewed sites just cause I hate when it drops down 50 zillion websites. Anyway, he leaves, and I take back the comp to resume LS'ing. I notice this opened window...he had been checking my history of visited websites! I saw that he had seen http://www.loveshack.org, and he clicked on it. I was signed out...but I'm wondering if he could have seen my posts? Anyone know? Bubbly We did talk later, he didn't mention reading anything...and he did only have my laptop for 15 minutes....
mishy Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 i don't think he would have any idea where to find you on loveshack if you did log out the last time. But if you haven't (and i always forget to) I think it would have shown your name on the front page thingo - and THEN he would know where to go.. Darned computers........ I
Craig Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Is your LS password stored in your computer or do you have to enter your password manually every time you log in? If your password is stored then he could have logged on and seen your screen name.

Then again, I couldnt really see him going home, typing in LS.org, typing in my username, and then reading all my posts. Bubbly
goodnbad Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 I seem to recall that there is another way he can check the sites you visit. And it it not deleted when you delete your history file. It is called a cache and, sorry, I cannot remember how to delete that stuff (probably someone else here does) but it must be done each time you visit a site. But if he knows how to look that up---I believe it is through your Document folder? Hmmm, could be wrong about that, though! I totally understand, though. I am never up to much online, coming to places like this, but I hate the thought that someone, dh or not, might get a little too interested in where I visit. It's a major invasion of privacy. Like going through someone's wallet. If no one here has any ideas, you could always do a search on deleting caches or whatever, I'm sure there's lots of info out there on it! goodnbad
tiki Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Documents and settings, (default user) check internet files and cookies. If you clear it through internet options, it should clear it there. I believe.
