predator8u Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Hello everyone, Just wanted to get some advice I "met" this girl in the mall and I got her number and I'd like to take her out, but I dunno whether its okay to ask her out on the first phone call.... I'm really not that great at talking on the phone yet when it comes to girls..... give me a business call and I'll handle it.... but I need more practice at phone flirting haha..... I get them silent moments......... so what should I say to her??/ I'll tell you how we met maybe that might help so I was walking down in the mall... at like 9 45 and the stores open at 10 am and i walked past this little girls store called Claire's and in the window was the assistant manager (the only person there) and it seemed like she was anxious to open the store... SHE WAS VERY ATTRACTIVE so as i walk past the window I did that " OOOOhhh you look good" look and she smiled at me...... so i kept walking ...... about 20 minutes later after the stores opened and I got my sneakers and I began walking back.... I kinda hesitated but Then I finally went in the store... And I said hey I've never been in here before,,,, and I was walking around and asking her about some of the merchandise and then I asked her if she handles the customer complaints and that sorta stuff....if she goes to school..... how old she was.... (she is 22 and I'm 20) and she just moved down to florida from tennessee about a month ago..... So then i introduced myself and asked her if I could call her,,, ,she said maybe... smiled and gave me the number.... I got it down and I said I had to go but I would call her.......... I'm thinking I should call her tomorrow (thursday) and try to get her to meet me either friday or during the weekend. anyway,,,, i dunno where to take her either..... I cant go to clubs yet (4 months till 21) but i don't wanna take her to the movies cuz thats just boring..... any ideas???? any input would be appreciated!! Thanks!!!
curiousnycgirl Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Yes you should call - just remind her who you are and how you met - then go right into asking if she would like to have dinner, a movie or whatever. Just be advised calling thursday for a friday or saturday date is iffy at best. She may already have plans. If that's what she says, either propose another nite, next week - or call again next week but earlier than Thursday!!!!
meisje Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 If she gave you the number, she's most likely 1) expecting the call, 2) expecting the date. So definitely ask for a date in the first phone call -- that's the whole purpose anyway, right? But yeah, I agree... don't expect to get together this weekend if you're just calling now!
