Does it mean anything if a guy starts ignoring you once he leaves town?

OK, so right before he left he asked me to text him good morning, which I did. He also said he would text me when he got to where he was going. He just went two hours out of town to see his daughter. Well I haven't heard from him since he left, but before he left he texted me a couple times. He ignored both my text and I know he has his phone because he ALWAYS does this when he leaves town. Its like I don't exist when he's gone :( So I want to know how should I act towards him when he gets back and text me wanting to talk?

When someone is on vacation, you need to leave them alone. Let them initiate all contact when they have time and allow them the space to enjoy themselves. Getting pissed off at a guy for not talking with you more when he is with daughter, is the fastest way to head into a break up.

I mean think about it. It's his daughter and you're a new woman in his life. Who's he going to be focused on more? Just be happy with whatever contact he does give you and let him do all the initiating.

That's why I gave up on dating a divorced dad... I always felt like I was less important and second place. Meh. It's terrible to feel like this on the first months you're dating someone. Maybe it works with some people but not for me.

The first time I called him out on the way he was making me feel, he kind of pulled away. That's how men are... so if you want to keep seeing him, on his terms, be intelligent about how you bring this up.

You honestly think that a man should prioritize a woman he just started seeing over his own daughter?

" He just went two hours out of town "

2 hours? seriously?

No but if he wants to keep said woman interested, he has to at least make the effort to find time to date say... once a week minimum.

i.e.: When 10 days pass by after a hot & heavy kissing session and no plans are made, a woman rightfully thinks: "next".

That's understandable. But that isn't the case here.

She's complaining that his text frequency is down now that he is out of town and visiting with his daughter. When it's a woman you just started seeing and you're visiting with your daughter, you're not going to be texting with that woman all the time.

How should you act? Normally.

I totally get this, my thing was just this. Why the hell would he TELL me "I better be texting him good morning", if his ass didn't want to be bothered. He asked me. Anyways I only text him twice yesterday 1 telling him gdmorning anf the other one telling him my good news. Other than that I left him alone.

Well in that case, there is only one solution. When he goes out of town, YOU ignore him. Don't contact him at all, no good morning texts, nothing. That way you are not giving him anything to ignore!

Follow his lead....

If he asks why no texts from you, tell him the truth. That since he ignores them, you didn't see the point in sending them.

Problem solved. Easy peasey!
