Heyy all, thanks for reading this post. So I really like this guy I work with. We've worked together for 2 and a half years and things are pretty cool. A few months after he started working with me, he asked me on a date. He didn't want to do anything again because my dad is his boss, and my dad was pretty pissed. We slept together a few times last year. This past week he came over to see my new place, we made tacos for dinner and he slept over in my bed. Surprisingly he stayed the whole next day until he had to go into work at 5. He also told my brother and dad he was coming over, which I found very shocking but very respectful. I told him last week that I do still like him, but I don't want to date him yet but I think it'd be dumb if we didn't try something someday. He's going into the marines maybe and I just want us to be a little older. I told him its just suck to have to miss eachother and we should hang out outside of work. He said "I'm a great girl I'm very attractive and we'll def hang out outside of work and maybe something will happen." Over the past few years working together, we've both been through some rough times but we've always been there for eachother. I guess my question is, do you think I have a chance? What should I do? Also- he was doing some construction with my father and one of my fathers friends on the building we work at recently, and my dads friend was all "better screw that nail in correctly, you wanna impress your future father in law." I guess he just turned red and looked away as my father and his friend were laughing. My father loves this kid.

Also- the reason I don't want to date yet is because he's never had a gf. He's had a love, but I think she scared him from love because of breaking his heart. We're only 23 and I told him "I want you to be with other girls first to get it outta your system." I just want to wait until he wants to settle but I'm not sure if that was a good idea.

You don't want to date him now so why are you asking whether there is a chance? Wait until the chance is given which is when he's sowed his wild oats as you suggested and, after he comes back from the marines and you two are older. Step back a little from this one for now before you get too invested.

You are young. Don't worry about a guy that you don't really want to date. Find one or some you want to date now.
