I'm curious to see what people typically do for a Friday/Saturday night dates with someone that they've been dating for say 1-3 months (i.e. not first-date-ish type stuff, but not, "we've been together for 10 years" type stuff either). As a guy, I'll try to coordinate so there's at least a chance to get back to either my place or hers to fool around a bit - but prior to that, what do you do/like to do/want to do?

Do you always try to make it interesting, or would something on the more routine side be acceptable? What would be/is interesting to you - new restaurant, exotic activity, etc.?

It doesn't matter what's interesting to us, it only matters what your date and you like to do. By the first date even, you should have an idea of the the types of things your date likes and what you two have in common in terms of those things. If you've already been through that list, do something that's different for both of you and interests you both enough to try. Listen to your dates and pay attention to things she mentions she'd like to do or try. Open a casual conversation with her about those things. Two heads are better than one. You shouldn't have to do all the work in planning things after a certain point.

I get that it's couple specific, and I understand that you can figure out what the other person likes doing based on prior interaction - that's not what I was asking about - I'm just curious to know what people actually do/want to do do for Friday/Saturday night dates after dating for a little while.

I go to her place and have dinner ready when she gets home from work, then we watch Netflix. We got to bed relatively early so we can get more done on Saturday. Friday night is relaxing after a hard week's work.

People actually do what they like to do but at the 3 month mark I'd be spending more than evenings together. Sure, if you work, you can only do Friday evening, but by then I'd be spending an entire Saturday or Sunday with someone once in a while too. So, then, I like to go for a drive up in the country, have a picnic. Take a long walk by a lake. Go horseback riding, go to plays, go to concerts, sporting events, go bowling, go skiing, go whitewater rafting, play cards or board games with a group of friends and your date in the evening. Go to the beach.

On Friday nights at that point, I'd probably just like a lite dinner out at a favorite restaurant followed by maybe renting a movie or having dinner in and renting a movie or going to a play in the city. If you're dating for 3 months, you are probably getting into a routine anyway, which is not entirely bad, because you're getting comfortable with each other and beginning to communicate and get to know each other on a deeper level and don't want or need too much excitement in order to be more focused on each other.

Depends on our work schedules, we both have weird schedules and she may even have to work on a Saturday. So, a lot of times Friday's may just be dinner or something relaxing. Saturday is typically the more adventurous day because majority of he time she is off so then we have more time to do stuff so it opens up the possibilities

Most people work Fri.

So if I've been seeing a woman three months, the date frequency has increased and she'd be spending the night. With that said, dinner/movie night in Fri to unwind and then get up together to do something fun/active during the day on Sat. Like a sporting event, theme park, hike/picnic, etc..
