AIJ Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 For some incredibly odd reason, the past two days I've just felt surprisingly calm? I'm not sure why but I just feel very content, is this normal? It's 8 weeks post break up, and this is the first time since when I can truly say I don't care about what she's doing, how she's feeling etc. and I just feel much, much happier. Like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Very weird, but nice. I think the confirmation that she's now with someone else pushed me over the edge, thank god.

Normal... but it probably won't last. When I found out my ex was truly with someone else, I felt relieved for about a week. And then the anger and hurt hit...
BlackbirdSong Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Normal... but it probably won't last. When I found out my ex was truly with someone else, I felt relieved for about a week. And then the anger and hurt hit... I have to second this. I've had spells in the past where I was fine...then all of a sudden, BAM! I was back to day 1. Get ready because it comes out of nowhere. I hope I'm wrong.
ApexTitanium Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 The second I find out (if I do) my ex is with someone. I'll be back to negative day 1000
HBK3317 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 As all the ones above me said... It will blindside you when you least expect it. I for one tremble at the very thought of her being with someone else. Holding hands, going on dates, laughing and having a good time... Just ****s my mind like nothing else. Anyone got any idea how to move past this?
geronimo Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Yea, as you know from my story, I was also ok after finding out my ex was with someone else, but a few days later all the emotions kicked in. Just be prepared man, it comes at you like a **** ton of bricks. I hope you don't go through it but if you do you know we're all here for you.
rebel Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Just enjoy the calm. You never know when a trigger will hit ya!
Author AIJ Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Thing is I know she's been with someone else for the past 5 weeks.. the anger, sadness etc. could've already come and gone? When I picture them being intimate with eachother, I no longer care. Probably because she was about as interesting as a cardboard box when it came to things like that..
rebel Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 You may just perhaps be over her my friend. If so, then well done!
Dallix Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 What Rebel said. If it's been 5 weeks, you will most likely be fine. But if it hits you, everyone here is ready to catch you when it does knock you on you ass.
