Vero Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 This girl on my track team and I were sitting on the football field benches and so were a lot of my other teammates. We were all laughing and having a good time, especially me with this girl. This was the first time I had an actual conversation with her. We were flirting a lot; she made jokes about us being married and getting divorced. and shes randomly like "(my name) is like my favorite person in the world!" once or twice. We also touched each other a lot; she would lay on the bench and rest herself on me, and she would laugh & touch me after my jokes for prolonged periods of time. After a lot of this, everyone eventually left and I did too. As I was leaving, she noticed and I asked for a hug and she gave me like a 30 second hug and we both laughed and shuffled around during it. I know this was only one interaction, but it was the day before spring break, so I won't see her for like a week. Now it's on my mind; I know how it feels to "put all my eggs in one basket", but I haven't felt this good about a girl since my last relationship 2 years ago. The emotions right now feel very good. Any advice for a young brother? I forgot to get any contact info, but she followed me on Instagram lol.
d0nnivain Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I do not intend to demean your feelings but this is a case of lust not love. Before you get upset, that is a good thing. You like this girl but you don't yet love her. Love takes time. This is chemicals & hormones but those are positive things! They are what cause the dizzying feeling of being in love. First, remain calm. Keep talking with her & flirting with her. Get to know her. Are there any events coming up at school like a Spring Dance you can ask her to? Can you get her to go watch the baseball team play? Are they selling green carnations for St. Patrick's Day? If so send her one. Eventually you may be able to work your way up to a none school date. 1
