I have heard that some guys prefer their date to smell fresh out of the shower with no perfume on while others like it when their date has on a light perfume or scented lotion.

I personally like it when a man wears a cologne with pachouli, vanilla, citrus or sandalwood in it like Cool Water, Perry Ellis or Guess Seductive Men. Omg, if a guy is wearing any of those colognes...it makes me want to get closer to him! (hubba hubba!)

This question is for the women here also.:)

For the gent- Halston,Perry Ellis, Old Spice, Cool Water ,

Polo -Actually followed a guy thru Bass Pro Shop because he was wearing it and he seemed to entice a few of us ladies. :)

As a lady it depends what the event is and where I am going. I prefer Chanel #5, Boucheron, Dolce Gabbana ,and yeah patchouli when I am out for an afternoon stroll.

I Like your choices BlackOps! You have good taste :)

Thanks, you also have discriminating taste Tayla! I forgot about Polo....hehe I liked your story about the guy walking through the Bass Pro Shop - I could visualize a long line of women following him around, unbeknownst to him lol:D

What kind of perfume do you ladies were? For some strange reason whenever I wear perfume-people start hinting that something "reeks." And I wear Chanel!

Well, I used to wear Beyond Paradise but now I wear Heavenly by V.S. when I go out on the town and then I use all of the Moonlight Path products (by Bath & Body Works) for everyday wear. I love the way Moonlight Path smells and it's my signature scent.:)

For me - Bennetton or Poison by Dior.

For men - (and this is so cheesy) but I like Drakkar Noir. Ever since my college days.

I love Poison, haven't worn that in years! I've never smelled Bennetton before, is it like a vanilla scent?

I don't like cologne, the men at my work wear axe and it just kills my nose. I just want a man to smell clean, please, that's all! And wash your clothes, too. I really don't get it when people's clothes smell like they haven't been laundered in weeks. I know you own a washing machine!!

Personally, I wear Chanel Chance, or Tom Ford Black Orchid. 2 spritzes. One on my chest, and one sprayed on my wrists and rubbed into my neck.

Sometimes I just wear a subtle vanilla lotion and put moroccan oil in my hair. I must say I love smelling my own hair. Sometimes when I'm moving around and my hair's swinging about, I catch a whiff and it makes me smile. I wish I could find a perfume that smelled like moroccan oil.

Yeah! Bennetton does smell like Vanilla, that's why i like wearing it. I'm pretty rigid as far as changing my perfume goes too. Once I find a perfume I like, I will wear it for a long time. I don't like floral scenes in women's perfumes either because that smell is too overpowering. But Bennetton, I can't go wrong with. Love it!

I have that Matthew McConaughey cologne from a few years ago, think its D&G brand. I feel women love it. I'm very picky on men's colognes.

On women I like perfume, and prefer it to be a softer scent. A woman's scent should NOT explode onto the man's nose.

In general, women are probably over scented. Shampoo, body wash, lotion, laundry detergent, deodorant, and throw on some perfume. Um, WTF! I suggest you go unscented everything, just a touch of deodorant (or just skip it if you just showered and it's not an issue for you) and then add the soft perfume. It's the same philosophy for myself.

It's really weird and don't know why but Chanel smells horrible to a lot of people for some reason. Especially No.5 and Allure. I mean it's very distinct, but personally I quite like the way it smells.

As far as the OP, I generally wear Michael Kors - Sexy Amber or Michael for Women. But I've just bought White Diamonds, 'Diamonds & Emeralds' and I'm quickly starting to fall in love with it.

On a man, that fresh soapy smells is always nice and of course I like anything musky. Typically I'm not picky. ....but for some reason, Dirty English by Juicy Couture for Men drives me utterly insane with lust. It's ridiculous. :o

Hmm, you've piqued my interest with your mention of moroccan oil. If you had to describe it's scent, what does it smell like (to you)?

I would instantly fall in love with a girl if she had a perfume that smelled like bacon or chocolate chip cookies.

That's the problem with women's scents. They smell like things women like. Men aren't drawn to dead flowers and fruit scents!

It's actually SO hard to describe... it's slightly sweet, slightly woody or almondy... like sandalwood with vanilla or almonds.

Between the moroccan oil in my hair and the Black Orchid perfume, a couple of coworkers have told me I smell like marshmallows lol.

I personally don't see the resemblance, but if more than one person has said it, there must be something to it... lol.

I'm a guy that wears Versace pour homme.

I've liked it when a girl has worn lotion with a coconut or vanilla scent to it. Out of no where, I turned and sniffed in her direction when I picked up the scent. Then said "you smell good."

For me, I really can't stand the smell of Axe or Old Spice - it just reminds me of middle/high school when guys would dump buckets of the stuff on themselves.

I personally love the men's cologne from Bath and Body Works, specifically Twilight Woods. It just has that rustic manly smell. I love burying my face into my boyfriend's chest and inhaling deeply.

On her I like Dolce & Gabbana, Dior Addict, Eternity, or Reveal by CK.

In reality though--a fresh, clean woman makes each fragrance her own!!! ;)

On me she likes Armani Code or Jean Paul Gaultier "Le Male."

Preferably scent of his own skin, out of shower. Once had a man who smelled so incredible no cologne needed wow.

Male: YSL - L'Homme Intense,

I use Ralph Lauren, Ralph. Versace Bright Crystal or Bvgari Omnia Crystalline

I go absolutely bat**** insane when a guy smells of Boss Bottled. Seriously... that thing is sex in a bottle!!!

On the other end of the scale, Le Male by Gautier makes me heave (bad memories from an alcoholic boss have turned me off for life).

As for me... my perfumes are all "pink". Well... not ALL, but the large majority. My mom actually ASKs the people in the shops for pink perfumes... not the colour, the smell! LOL Basically fruity!

Gucci Guilty range......

Old Spice all the way that stuff can get into my head and melt me. I like it when guys just use the pit stick thats all you need and they end up smelling great not too overwhelming. I don't much like it when guys spray something on em.

And my fav perfume is called Pink Sugar its only 20$ men love it, people say it smells a little like cotten candy. A close pick now that they no longer sell Britney's fantasy in the pink bottle, Pink Sugar was the perfume I could find as close to my old perfume as I could tbh I think its better and cheaper.

I have a signature scent that I've been wearing since high school. It's a Calvin Klein perfume that has limited availability now. I have a few other perfumes I'll wear when in the mood, but I really like having a signature scent that people associate with me. It works with my body chemistry, and this is very important. Men often tell me, "You smell good enough to eat," and similar :D

On a man, I like just a touch of cologne, not so much that it overpowers his natural scent. My favorite cologne I've smelled is the one most preferred by women - Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio. I know it's the "Everyman" cologne, but man, it smells sooo good! It's like the sea and the sky and I don't know what - just makes me want to get it on :bunny:

I like a spicy, creamy scent. Or something woody. Or the scent of soap. But I should be able to smell it only when the man is leaning close. No fragrance bombs, please.

When it's hot I don't wear anything, I feel dirty 5 minutes after a shower and wearing a scent is no use. But when the weather is cooler I like to use products from a handmade cosmetics company named Fresh Line. I have two body sprays, one smells like a cute expensive soap. And the other one smells like a clean vanilla with olive musk. Not many women use them and I like that. I used to have many commercial perfumes, but they're too synthetic for me, they bring me headache, literally.

Cotton candy is another good scent. Anything really that tastes sweet.
