Dermatologist said no to clarisonic for cleansing while my old dermatologist said its a MUST twice a day. I also use an organic oil to heal and hydrate skin and prevent wrinkles and its helped. She said no to this too.

I feel she doesn't know her stuff? Im new to the city and waited 6 months for the appointment but all she did was suggest an otc wash and oral antibiotic. But no other great info or nothing I couldn't google.

If you have a lot of acne, active acne, pus etc, then clarisonic is not for you. It will be too harsh and will slow down acne healing.

The clarisonic is an exfoliation tool and it will aggravate active acne.

It depends on what your skin is like, type, condition, etc.

You could ask your doctor to check your Zinc levels.

If you are low on Zinc, supplementation might help you.

I recently stumbled across a guy on VB who cured his chronic acne by becoming vegan.

I've tried everything; antibiotics, contraceptives, topical creams.

All that worked for me was doxycycline (but it gave me blurry vision then I had to stop) and acne came back worse and the microgynon contraceptive pill but it made me depressed so stopped that too.
