Hi there!

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 years. On my last birthday my boyfriend spent well over $800 just in gifts - in addition to that he spent money on the cake, chocolates, and took me out to dinner at a really fancy place.

Now his birthday is coming up and I feel obliged to spend as much if not more. I feel like I have to compete with his gift-giving? I do work as well (only recently started), but he's been working much longer than me... And I also give a portion of my money to my parents.

I feel like we both compete when it comes to gift-giving, and he definitely splurges in ways I cannot.

Has anyone else been in this situation? If you havn't leveled the amount to how much your SO spends on gifts for you, do you feel inferior/bad?

I'm going to be serious about this....no joke, with guys they don't care about the money, your BF would be more appreciative with surprise sexual acts (BJs, swallowing, etc) and you in sexy lingerie hands down. Trust me on this it will even things out.
