Do guys sleep with women they're not attracted to? How do you know if a man is really attracted to you in bed, and out of bed?

Posted

Of course they do. Women sleep with men they don't care about either.

You gauge sincerity by observing other behaviors: how are you treated in other situations. You look at more than words.

Many men will have sex with a woman simply because she will have sex with him.

DatingDirection, what do you think is more important, a man who is attracted to you or a man who likes you?

both are equally important, a man that is attracted to a women, and a man that likes/loves a women.

Sure, it happens all the time, unfortunately. Some guys just want to dip their wick in someone, regardless of attraction and can 'get it up' for the sheer prospect of being with a live body.

How do you know if a man is really attracted to you in bed, and out of bed?

I mean, there's no sure way as some guys are very good a hiding it but how he behaves both in and out of bed is a decent way to get some idea. If in the bedroom he seems to have no interest in your pleasure, comfort, etc he's probably not too attracted to you. If he seems to have little to no interest in you outside of sex (i.e. all contact revolves solely around your next sexual encounter) or he seems disinterested in any aspect of your personal life it's a safe bet you're little more than a human masturbatory aid.

Then again, even if the opposite is true, he may still only see you as a sexual partner and not consider you for anything beyond that. Or rather, he may be attracted to you as purely an FWB.

All the time. When you're talking about a females understanding of attraction (wants a relationship) then yes men sleep with women that they do not want relationships with all the time. If you frame it in terms of male attraction (breasts and a vagina and a face that doesn't make him wince) then yes they are 'attracted' to every single woman they ever sleep with. They are attracted to the fact she was a warm place to put their dick in. It's really no more complicated than that.

And one shouldn't confuse a man being attracted to you as anything more than him just seeing you as somewhere to dump his semen. Because seriously, that's what it's about 99% of the time. ;) Don't be overly flattered by male attention, it's on a par with them reaching for a burger.

lol, omg, wow. well, I don't have much experience with men, b/c im shy, but this is all good information. thank you.

I would say yes, but that he will be kinda hesitant to agree to it.

My first boyfriend was not attracted to me (didn't really realize this at the time), so getting him to do anything sexual was like pulling teeth. He accepted daily blowjobs, but getting him to touch me or even LOOK at me (he'd rather stare out the window than at me), he treated like a chore. We only had sex 3 times and he only came the first time. The 2 following times he stopped within a few minutes saying he didn't want to anymore. The third time he actually proceeded to kick me out of his dorm room in Los Angeles, shortly after saying "You shouldn't be here, this is a mistake" and I was several hours from home, stranded, in the rain, trying to get a greyhound bus home.

Moral of the story, if a guy is not attracted to a woman, he may not like the sex and may regret doing it and feel disgusted with himself.

I'm so sorry to hear that happened to you! That must have felt terrible. You will find someone better for you. I personally don't sleep with anyone unless I know there is a real solid connection with the person, and I feel safe. But since I don't have a lot of experience with men, dating and sex, I am curious to know if them sleep with women they're not attracted to. And if they're attracted to the person, how do you know. So far, thank you all for the answers, they're so helpful.

OK, I was just being sure because liking a woman and being attracted to her are two different things. A man can be very attracted to a woman and just want to sleep with her. Of course a man can still sleep with a woman even if he isn't attracted.

In my view, attraction is the precursor to liking.

Yes, they may sleep with someone they're not attracted to, but may not like it much.

I'd say if a man is enthusiastic, there's attraction there. If he's not enthusiastic, he may not be as attracted.

Is that what women mean by attraction? Wanting a relationship?

So a woman can think that a guy is very physically appealing, but because she doesn't want to date him, she's not attracted?

Yes the bar for many men to have sex with a woman is very low.

I think attraction actually comes more into play outside of the bedroom. For example a man may have sex with a woman he has no attraction to, he wouldn't want to be caught being with her outside where other people can see. Or even under good light where he himself can see her

For me? Absolutely. I don't do casual sex. I mean why would I? It's not worth the effort of taking off my clothes judging by experience. If what he's bringing to the table is just eye candy, I can have that without ever needing to be involved with him at all. Just take a good look and keep moving.

One of my dates told me that guys are willing to bang anything. But as a woman, I have to be attracted to the guy.

Pretty much. Even in ancient egypt, if a woman who had died was attractive the family would keep her body until it had sufficiently decomposed before sending it to the embalmers, they didn't want anyone helping themselves. Nothing much has changed in thousands of years. Men are still ruled by their penis.

It happens, quite a lot in fact.

Testosterone gives you that compulsive desire to f*ck someone - I have even known a couple dudes get so hard up they ended up sexing transgender women or paying escorts. If I had no decorum, I probably go with women I'm not attracted to either. I don't however, so I'm a perpetual walking hard-on :lmao:

The only thing that keeps a lot of guys from sleeping with anyone willing is simply that it can turn into too much trouble for them when the woman then tries to glom on. A whole lot of men will sleep with just about any woman under the conditions that it's kept secret and she doesn't know how to contact him. Yes, the men who attract women easily may tire of gratuitous sex, but the ones who don't probably never will tire of it.

As long as she isn't repulsive, I think a lot of guys will, yes.

Given the replies, what does this say about a man's ability to be faithful??

Ok, another thread, of course but reading this a woman can't help to wonder.

Eh, depends on the man. Being faithful wouldn't be difficult for me. I've spent the vast majority of my post-puberty years celibate. Control wouldn't be a problem, adding to the fact that if I'm to enter a relationship, it is all or nothing.

How are the two even connected?

Just because a man would sleep with basically any human female, doesn't mean that he isn't able to be faithful.

It makes as much since as saying that a man with very high standards will sleep with every woman that meets them regardless if he is taken or not.

Hmm, not sure why you chose Buddhist as your profile name. I can see enlightened with a warm place attraction, but once the word dump is used for 99 percent of women, takes it to a completely different level.

Give most guys a chance they would screw the bullet hole if a woman got shot.

Wow I'm amazed at the responses here. I feel bad for the posters here it sounds like you all have know some really desperate guys.

I was 100% faithful in my 7yr marriage.

I have never slept with a woman I am not attracted too. In all honesty taking care of my self sounds like it would be 10x more enjoyable.
