So I'm currently saving up to build my own tiny home on a trailer. One of my many considerations before I start though is that I'd like a family one day. So I'm taking an informal poll.

All other things being great, if you found the right someone could you see yourself with a guy who lived in a tiny home? Yes? No? And if you would please say why? :)

The question is rather, if YOU met someone with whom you could see yourself living - would you be willing to upgrade and move into bigger premises?

I'm sorry, it seems a bit of a pointless question.... You "cut your suit according to your cloth".... then change up - or down - as needs arise, don't you...?

JetPacMan,

Why not?

I would sooner date a guy who lived in a modest home, who was living within his means, saving and being responsible, rather than some guy who was up to his eyeballs in debt maintaining a lavish lifestyle.

Everyone has to start small when they start on the home ownership ladder - go for it !

I think you underestimate what OP means. "Tiny houses" are...a thing and they're a bit smaller than modest.

At any rate OP, yes I would. . . as long as I didn't have to live there. They're cute concepts and I spend way too much time on the tinyhouses subreddit and often fantasize about having one of my own. But...alone and only as a getaway. Otherwise, that's just too much being on top of one another for my tastes as I'm very particular about my personal space. I mean, don't get me wrong, I've seen some really awesome, super decked-out ones but still...nah.

And in terms of raising a family, it's been done but it just seems to ridiculously impractical. I couldn't deal. It's more or less a functional treehouse.
