Is it weird to meet someone from facebook if you both have mutual interests?

Me and this girl are going to the same concert. I posted a question on the concert page on facebook asking if anyone else is planning to go to a local cafe before or after show. This girl randomly made a comment asking what the place is and I sent her a link for the cafe. We have been exchanging messages back and forth through Facebook and I told her I would message her when I got to the concert. She was thinking maybe her and her sister would go to the cafe if her sister wanted to but she said it's up to her sister. Would it be weird if me and this girl met up somehow/somewhere at the concert? I didn't want to come off as desperate but since she commented I figured I'd chat with her. She looks single from her profile as well.

No, it's not desperate since you've been exchanging these messages. When you arrive send her a message describing where you are standing at the stage, and if she wants to come and find you. This way you're being friendly without pressuring her.

Is it a pearl jam concert?

No, but I did see them late last year. This is an Andy Grammer show.

People connect and set up meets online all the time. There are guys who hit women up on facebook, it's a public site. I think it's a great idea.

That's perfectly fine - just have fun with it. The only challenge is confirming whether or not she's really single (i.e. is it platonic or can you push it towards romantic) - sometimes people don't update that part of their FB profile, so you may have to make some of the lame comments (i.e. what would you boyfriend say about that) to confirm the singularity.

Worst case you spend a bit of time with someone pre-concert with a mutual interest...sounds like fun to me.
