Lonestar Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 For those of you who read my last post on this topic, I'm heading out in a few minutes to have some drinks with the 23-year-old. I told all my judgmental friends to shut the f*uck up about the age of the guys I date I'll let you know how it went.

He's totally hot, sweet, intelligent, and more mature then some of the guys I date who are closer to my age. He tends to date older women because he doesn't like girls his own age, so I'm not the first. I honestly have no issue now with the age difference after hanging out with him last night, and I'd definitely like to see him again. But there's one problem, one BIG problem. I found out he knows my son who is a few years younger than him. I'm not sure if my son would be pissed about this or not and I kinda feel stupid saying something to him. What should I do? This is way too f*cking freaky.

Because he wants to see me again, Saturday night, and I like hanging with him, so yeah, I would feel the need to say something to my son instead of him finding out about it from someone else. He's my kid. In my world, family comes first. and I could never do anything that would make him uneasy. Then again my son is very open minded and laid back, so he may not give a crap. I would prefer to forget about the whole thing, like alpha said, if he has a problem with it, rather than get myself in deeper.

If you decide you want to persue him, then I would talk to your son and explain the situation. I would tell him that you are going to see this guy and prefer to have your son's support. I am sure that your son would see a girl that he really wanted to date even though you may not approve of her.
