Confidence man. Confidence.

Three of my friends started going bald in their early 20s. It hit 2 them fairly hard in terms of their confidence. They both tended to struggle with women, one would spend a number of yrs single between gfs and the other was not so long single but he became desperate when it came to any girls, which blew his chances on some, but also ended up wearing a couple of them down so they dated him (but they weren't passionate relationships). The first single one did much better in his 30s when it came to women, as he lost more hair and he got thicker build and it suited him more, plus it seemed less of a bigger deal to women late 20s/30s plus he also picked up some attitude. He resented the fact that women were not as friendly when they were younger though. The 3rd one did not have that many gfs or hookups but wasn't the best looking but he was stocky and going bald did not hurt his look that much imo. He had good confidence. He got married fairly young to sweet bubbly chubby girl.

The lower confidence was a big factor for both the first two. How much % struggles you can say was due to being premature bald and how much % was due to the hit their self confidence I cant say. IMO it was both., but without doubt having lower confidence only exacerbated their struggle as neither was that bad looking imo. Some girls will be put off for sure and others wont care if they find you decent guy otherwise...but what counts is what the ones you fancy think. Definitely think about shaving it off if it gets too bad.

Many women find Patrick Stewart attractive.

Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel, Matt Damon in Elysium, do I have to go on?

Yeah but those are all attractive guys, regardless of a shaved head or not.

OP said he was pale and had a condition that caused the baldness — even if you shave it still will show a receding/patchy pigment especially in between shaves and it will be even more apparent because of his pale skin. Actually many of those attractive celebs with shaved heads would have a full head of hair if they let it grow out because you can tell by the pigment coverage.

I've read so many stories on Internet forums of guys who got all the ladies. Lost hair and get none now, that really kills me, and even my own mother told me I should consider any girl a dating prospect now that I'm bald and that was a huge insult. I want to know the truth, is it generally a deal breaker for young women if the guy has no hair?

For many women it's just something that they'd rather not take on especially younger girls because balding is a sign of a downward spiral (i.e. other signs of aging are about to kick in). It may not be true for you as you problem might just be scalp specific but it's something that some people think.

Also many girls think 'dad' when they see a bald guy right, so maybe a good idea is to make up for it by dressing well and behaving as if you have a full head of hair (others mentioned confidence). Do anything to fend off that dad vibe.

Does your skin not tan with fake tan? Have you ever tried out a gradual facial tanner?

Oh and you can get opaque moisturizer to cut down on head glare.

... yes, seriously. I've got some :)

edgy sharp dressing, work it to look like the cutting edge, make sure the collars of your clothes go well with your facial bone structure etc body too, bald men get girls, old-fashioned ones do not

Oh, OP.

A lot of men (and women) who are less than ideal physically manage to get into relationships, with "attractive" people no less. Men who are in wheelchairs, me who are amputees, blind men—many of them still partner up with attractive females all the time.

Honestly, it sounds like you're worried about this preemptively. As others have said, try to have confidence. What you're fearing probably won't happen.

I did shave it all off that was the question, if they thought shaved was attractive, and as I said I only worry what girls will think, I've never had a legitimate gf, and so have no experience really. But I still have confidence in that I know I won't let it affect my standards. You said your friend was happy with the bubbly chubby girl, well being someone who's slender and takes care of myself I couldn't be attracted to someone who was chubby, so maybe in a way it hasn't affected confidence because I refuse to let it affect standards. Also I said young as in around my age, and no offense to being 30, but I could only ever date someone who was 4 years older tops, and that's a only a 23 year old.

Younger women are the target audience of the post, people say I look like I'm 21-22 shaved, and as I said before I use a manual with lather and that does remove even pigment, it's all skin up there. And no I'm not vain enough to worry about the tanning much, but my skin responses more poorly to artificial uv lights and tanning than it does the sun anyway.

I looked up howie mandell and noticed that his attractive daughter looks like she could be his gf/wife. Maybe being bald doesn't age you that much after all.

Couldnt care less. Its about the man, not the hair on his head. It falls out eventually anyways :p
