Mizz Layta Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I have but it wasn't really a date. Few years ago I worked with guy that I thought was very attractive. He was only with the company for less than a month before getting terminated. I don't remember the real reason why but he was still on probortion with the company. I was little bit disappointed since I fancied him Then ran into him months later and he gave me a big hug and seemed very happy to see me. We caught up and he gave me his msn to chat sometime. I was very excited since I thought it was step closer to him. I added him on my contacts as soon as I got home but he wasn't online that evening. I finally spoke to him few days later when he got online. Then I asked him to hangout the next day which was Canada Day. He agreed and I asked for his number . I called him that night just to go over on where to meet etc. My sister was going downtown to watch fire works with friends so she took my cell phone with her.I was really looking forward to hangout with him so I decided to wear my most beautiful outfit, did my hair and did my make up.I wanted to look nice for him He lives on the other side of the town so I had to take a 45 minute buss ride. That was before I started driving and I had to relay on public transportation which takes forever to get from point A to B. I arrived at the station where we agreed to meet .Then I ended up waiting for 20 minutes. I just thought he was running late so didn't think anything out of it. Then another 10 minutes went by with still no sign of him. I decided to borrow a cell phone from another girl who was standing beside me to call him just to check where he is. He didn't have a cell phone ,it was his home phone. He picked up the phone and I instantly recognized his voice as soon as he said ``hello``. However, when I said something, he hung up the phone. He clearly recognized my voice as well. I coudnt believe what had just happened so called right back but someone else answered the phone instead. It must have been his sister. I asked to speak to him and she told me to hold on and put me on hold to go look for him.I could hear her calling his name from the back ground. Then she came back few minutes later and told me that he is not there. He clearly told her ``Tell her that I am not here`in the back ground. l could replay the image in my head lol Then I hung up the phone and gave it back to the girl I had browed it from and thanked her. Then everything just sank in at that moment and I realized that he stood me on purpose . I don't understand why he agreed to meet up if he had no interest in hanging out with me? Why didn't he just make up some excuse to not meet up if he coudn`t tell me ? words cant describe how I felt that day. It was the worst feeling ever. There was nothing I could do but took a buss ride back home Have you ever been stood up on purpose? by a date or someone you liked?Share your story
fitnessfan365 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I have a stood up story for you. This girl and I arranged to grab coffee. She suggested the place and I'd never heard of it. So even though I had directions, I still got a bit lost since I didn't know the area. Send her a text saying "Got a bit lost. Parking. See you in 5 mins". No response. So I get to the place and wait outside for 15 minutes. No sign of her. Go inside for another ten minutes. No sign of her. Just as I am about to get up to leave, I see her walk in, grab a coffee, and leave. Then she finally sends a text. Her - I waited outside for you, but had to go back to school. Me - I was here for 30 minutes waiting Her - Really? I was outside wearing a white vest. Me - Bull$hit. I was outside and the only one there. Just saw you show up late not wearing white, grab a coffee, and leave. No response obviously. My guess is that she purposely set up the meeting when she knew she'd be at school. Then went to grab a coffee on her break thinking I'd be gone since it was 30 minutes after the fact. The way I see it is that fate intervened to prevent me from meeting a woman that's obviously got serious problems. Plus, it was satisfying to bust her like that. 1

BluEyeL Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I've been stood up once on an OLD. Set place and time, I waited 15 minutes, then texted him I was there, no reply, waited another 5 minutes or so and left. Never heard from the guy again. 1
rocketman122 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 almost was stood up. I got to the restaurant, called, asked if she was there and she said no. she said she doesnt think she should come (she lives close she would walk). I asked why and she said she saw me on OLD. I explained I have my browser open all the time and I wasnt home at all today. well she came and a huge smile on her face. she said she was happy she came. ultimately I dropped her for not being a touchy feely person who didnt like holding hands. huge thing for me. 1
