So these days I am seeing a girl I met off OLD. I have sent a lot of thoughtful messages and get ignored a lot. Just thought I would share the one that worked for all of you folks out there who are using the OLD.

"How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

We talked 2-3 back and forths before we met in person.

I should add we talked about it and for her, it stood out because it:

want an offer for sex

Hi, how are you?

or otherwise generic and boring.

Well this proves that it's not the message that counts, but the profile and photos of the person sending it.

Not if you saw me.

I do have a nice profile filled out.. Generally well written, proper grammar, and humorous maybe?

I am 5'10", 250 lbs, and not the most attractive in the face.. not bad, but eh... I am not photogenic.

When I was on POF I used

"I'll be Burger King, you'll be McDonalds - I'll have it My Way and you'll be lovin' it."

Actually got some replies/numbers/dates lol. I honestly don't think it matters what you message, you'll eventually find someone who likes you - but in my experience you get the less desirable women than if you put more effort in.

You balance your Time Spent with Quality Received basically - it is essentially a numbers game and using a copy/paste message will save a lot of it.

I can't recall doing any off the wall openings. But I do know there was an inverse relationship between the amount of text I sent and the probability of a reply. 3 sentences max for an opener seemed to be the magic amount. Anymore and you get nexted. Any less and you're just spam.

EDIT: and one of those sentences better end in a question mark and not be a question she hears half the time!

On the free sites I think using canned openers is more viable.

But on paid sites like Match I think you can still do pretty well by taking the time to write - everyone else is paying so you have less bogus accounts, etc.

I like the nonsensical ones because it shows you have some personality and sense of humor.

standing out is key.....it's called peacocking......it's in the player's book of tricks.

This has been my experience as well.

Of course I prefer making an interesting remark related to one of their photos or something they wrote - however most women have pretty bland profiles that doesn't give me much to go on - Lol.

Well there you go....if you have nothing to go on, try saying something outlandish, or quirky....

Haha.. This is pretty damn good.

I was bored today so I decided to use my Burger king line on my OKCupid account since I'm not on there as often - Sent about 15 messages and got 3 replies - 1 person interested.

I typically use Match so I'll experiment on my OKC ;)

I always ignored anyone who used anything gross as a pickup line, or said something crass....

Some of the replies I get they're a little put off by it and not very warm (why did they respond?)

Some girls think its funny and we strike up a convo lol.

I tried it on Match and it didn't work as well as on OKCupid -- I think girls on Match are a bit more serious minded since its a Pay site - and canned openers don't work quite as well. I sent it to a larger pool and got less responses.
