BigHarold Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Please help My girlfriend of two years had a previous relationship in which the man purchased a car for her. He also gave her thousands of dollars for bills etc. All of this before the first sexual encounter. Should I purchase a car for my girlfriend? Is it common to date a lady for a year and give thousands of dollars before the first sexual encounter?
PegNosePete Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 No you should not do it. Do you want a woman who is only with you for your money? It is common for men to try to buy the affections of women, not with thousands of dollars or cars, but smaller things like drinks, movie tickets, meals etc. It's also common for them to be offended and upset when their investment is not rewarded. Dating is not a business transaction. It is not common to date a year before the first sexual encounter.
rocketman122 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 No you should one up the guy and make sure you buy her a house. Nothing less!
d0nnivain Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Her prior experience was not the norm. If she expects that she is a gold digger.
Erised Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Please help My girlfriend of two years had a previous relationship in which the man purchased a car for her. He also gave her thousands of dollars for bills etc. All of this before the first sexual encounter. Should I purchase a car for my girlfriend? Is it common to date a lady for a year and give thousands of dollars before the first sexual encounter? Look, I had an ex boyfriend who bought me a car. He bought me tropical vacations, etc etc. It's what he wanted to do and he was very well off. I still would not expect that in a future relationship. I also can't imagine going a year without sex while in a relationship. I wouldn't just start giving her money... If she's requesting it, I would leave her. 1
