Hopefulone1 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Just had a thought. I get on the net via my phone and iPad. Hubby doesn't usually take these items, but could he track the websites I go to through our account? I'm afraid he might read what I posted and get upset!
Turtles Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Hope it depends on how savvy and motivated he is and how knowledgeable and careful you are but the short answer is YES. Normally I would say, who cares because he should not be snooping in your stuff anyway, but the fact that he is abusive makes it a dangerous situation. You need help NOW and not from internet strangers. 2
Selfish Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Two words, private browsing. It might also be good to look up how to check for keyloggers.
carhill Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Check your iPad or iPhone for Cydia. If it doesn't have it, it isn't jailbroken and native iOS is next to impossible to install a keylogger on. Private browsing and routine cleaning of browser files should handle the other aspects. Use an anonymous e-mail (not an Apple-related one) and don't upload anything to the cloud. That should cover the obvious stuff. Myself, when I was married, I didn't care what my wife looked at on my devices. She could read my e-mails, see any porn I downloaded from the newsgroups, any chats, etc, etc. IDK if she ever looked. Didn't matter to me. 1
goodyblue Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I know that my guy can see anything I do on the IPad,Apple laptop,IPhone... even my Kindle. I do not have anything to hide and neither does he so it doesn't matter but for you, OP, be careful.

CrystalShine2011 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 lol private browsing or just delete your history
truncated Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Also delete your tracking cookies. They will have the name of the sites you visit.
spanz1 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 on a COMPUTER, it is easier to hide your tracks. Get a program like CCleaner, and run it to erase anything you browsed to, and sites that are still open with a password, etc. You should run it every time you get off the computer. With an ipad or phone, it is harder. Maybe there is an app to delete the history. You do not want him picking up your ipad, typing in A..S..H... and have the browser fill in ASHLEY MADDISON LOG IN page...lol
tommyr Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 There are ways to "track your web history" at the network level, which would not involve any keylogger or even access to your phone/iPad. WireShark is one such tracing tool. Your internet router may also have logging/monitor capabilities, or he could install a "proxy server" in front of the router. Not trying to be overly technical, just saying that with proper expertise, there are several ways he could see your network traffic.
