tart6245 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 So I met a girl on tinder the other week and we started talking. She kept the conversation going, told me I was funny and then gave me her number without me asking. After about a week of texting while a family emergency occurred, I decided to ask her out. I texted her about 11:30 as we were talking to ask if she wanted to get drinks sometime in the next week, and she responded "it's a little late to be asking a girl out," and after I explained I meant next week, she said "I just mean it's a little late at night to ask a girl that." today she texted to tell me she thought I had only asked her out on a date because I was drinking, and I assured her I had not been, and said I didn't mean to come off that way. Then, she never responded. And I have no clue why she called it a date. I just asked to get drinks. She's playing head games, right? If she wanted to hang out, she'd have said yes I assume. I'm leaning towards just not contacting her again, but I was wondering if I should play along and ask her out during the afternoon. Thoughts? I was unaware there was a proper time to ask someone out. Usually it just comes up regardless of time.
