I am texting my GF more, but how come she's not doing it back?

So I have posted a thread a while back about how often should I send text message to my current GF, since we only meet once a week.

I have begun to send her more text messages, asking her about her day in general.

However, I find it odd that she does not send me any text messages herself.

Why should I be the only one sending her text messages?

If she's interested in me romantically, shouldn't she also be asking me how my day was, or what interesting thing(s) I did at work?

Hello TheLonesomeWarrior,

This is a nice topic to debate because i think in the past all of us have this problem too.

Usualy, texting is more easy because it removes some of the barriers.

But sometimes the more texts people receive, the more they feel obligated to text back and that can make them feel an overdependence, such that the texting is preventing them from other activities.

There was a case study, read it:

"In heterosexual relationships, women who text more frequently tend to feel happier in their relationships, and their partners do as well (Schade et al., 2013). Interestingly, though, the more men text with a partner, the less happy they tend to be, the less happy their romantic partners tend to be, and the more their partners tend to report considering breaking-up with them (Schade et al., 2013)."

Just call and talk to her instead of sending a sms.Do it and let me know how it works.

See ya,

Badass

You are acting like a woman. Women are the ones who will want to keep constant contact with a man once they are in love. Men should act like men and use the phone to make dates. After a while she will be doing moat of the initiation.

In your last thread you said you were 'paired up' together. Is this to be an arranged marriage?

With your last thread and this one I don't think this lady is attracted toward you. I think she agrees to go out with you because it's been set up and it's expected of her to do this.

You've been dating for 4 months now. She does not initiate contact, she ignores your text sometimes for weeks, in all this time you gave her a peck on the cheek but didn't get one in return. If that doesn't indicate she is not into you I don't know what else will.

Not everybody is big on texting. I would judge her interest on her other words and actions, not just how much she texts.

You might be overwhelming her / annoying her. Not everybody has all day to be texting constantly.

Send a good morning text. Call her at night to talk.

Tell her you would appreciate it if she reached out to you more.

It may be that she is just very busy right now...tell her how you feel and see if it changes.
