I have had multiple ltr but my issue is always settling, with emotionally unavailable women. My last relationship was 3 years we accomplished a lot together and we're very close to marriage except for the minor "trust" issues...lol She had a pattern of dishonesty and deceit and we had an unstable but euphoric connection i.e. insane. I always thought love would see us through, love was going to conquer all.. it ended in disaster and only got worse from there. Now! Here I sit, confused. My question is where do all the healthy women congregate? I have a terrible time meeting women, and maybe I am just asking the age old question but seriously. I have my life in order, I am smart, honest, passionate, attractive and looking for friendship, love and commitment. I have tried online and it was a disaster in my experience, mutual friends is no bueno, any women in the interwebs have suggestions? Please
Buddhist Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 They congregate around healthy men. I don't want to be rude here but we tend to attract people similar to us. My past relationships had their fair share of crazy to them, that's why I stopped dating to sort out the crazy in me. Euphoric highs doesn't conquer all nor does it fix problems with two people relating to each other on unhealthy levels. People can have their life (career, finances, circle of friends, goals) in order and still be interpersonally dysfunctional. Love isn't a euphoric high. That's temporary chemical imbalances in the brain. Love is the understanding that a relationship only exists when people are being real with each other, and a determination to work through the issues present because issues will be present no matter who you are with. If you honestly believe you have nothing to work through there then crunch the numbers and see who's attracted to you. 1
