LS how would you like having to see your ex everyday? I was wondering if anyone would like seeing the person that they still care about like that. Its kinda bitter sweet to me. Its hard to heal and NC is very hard to up hold. Im feeling very anxious and only get that way whenever I run into him so before anybody ask or suggest that I look for another job...every chance I get Im looking for one and I have a lot of years invested with my employee so leaving is not an option. Uggh!!! Sorry LS for the dramatic but we talked at work and I think that I broke NC and I feel terrible...did I just set myself back.

When my BF of 6 years broke up with me about 4 years ago, I had to see him every day at work. It was incredibly hard and it took me about 2 years to get comfortable around him again - far longer than it would have taken had I been able to go NC. That wasn't an option though, I'm his boss. We still work together and are finally able to get along fairly well. I wouldn't recommend seeing your ex every day, it's definitely going to set you back in healing. But it is do-able.

Around 10/ 11 years ago I split up with my then other half. I lost my home. I lost my step/ foster children. My health was screwed. I lost my mind and subsequently my job... I was well and truly broken after that one.

I still see him around a lot. We have mutual friends and he lives in the same village as my parents. You can see his allotment from my parents kitchen window...

You just have to get on with it. I spoke to him for the first time a week or so ago. He is a very selfish and arrogant man. It actually helped as I am now for the first time in a long time glad that its over.

When you feel the anxiety rising take a deep breath, hold it for a second then let it go. Imagine the stress leaving your body with that breath.

It does get better.
