In love with someone I work with, and not sure if he has feelings for me?

I need a bit of advice regarding a guy I work with, and understanding his feelings towards me. We work in a very small, arts-based environment (basically starting a film center together). I've been here for almost 2 years, and we've become fairly close friends since. Even though there was always a great deal of affection between us, there was always a kind of barrier, because I think he was unsure of how to approach me, or how he felt about me at some point. Unfortunately he now has a girlfriend, and things are even more confusing than before. He tells me how much he loves me a lot, that he doesn't deserve me, is very affectionate, and so on. The thing is, I'm fairly certain that I have very strong feelings for him, but I don't know if he's actually in love with me, or he just puts me on a pedestal somehow. He refers to me as an angel, and a part of his heart to people constantly (before he was very affectionate to me privately, but now he's more open about it).

 

What does it mean? Is it just platonic on his part?

It's rarely platonic on a man's part. Sex is usually not far from their minds if they are saying they care about you. Now isn't the time to interfere though. Wait until that's over and have a talk with him about whether he'd like to try dating.
