My boyfriend and I agreed to date each other exclusively after seeing each other for a couple weeks. The chemistry is there and felt we are compatible. I have yet to tell my friends and family and not sure when it will be a good time.

There is no hard and fast rules about when is a good time to tell friends and family about new partners. It's really up to you and what feels comfortable.

I used to tell friends and family about my new loves almost immediately until I met my current boyfriend. I waited a good six months before I ever even hinted I was dating again never mind exclusive with someone.

It wasn't because I was ashamed or unsure or anything like that. I just wanted it to be private for as long as I could have it. I wanted to enjoy the time together without having to deal with all the questions and expectations and judgments that are typically placed on new relationships by friends and family. I wanted it to be mine/ours before I included everyone else on it.

It was worth it and I'd do it again :)

I mention to my friends and family I am seeing someone after we agreed on exclusivity but I won't introduce him till we hit the 3 month mark and sometimes longer.

If I had brought to my parents every man I dated for 2 weeks there would have been a new guy at dinner table each month lol.

I hear you on that ! I know my friends and family are going to ask questions and I'm a private person myself.

That information gets revealed organically, when it comes up in the normal course of conversation of there is some reason for them to meet him. There was never an "announcement".

I think once you're an official couple it's a good time to spread the word around.
