My ex of 4 years broke up with me 3 months ago. During this time I focused on myself, and improved in many ways. She always told me to be happier and calmed. I didn't listen. Until it was too late, I improved, and during this time she started dating with this guy she met in college. After 3 months, she sent me an email telling me she didn't want anything with me, not even to get in touch or have any sort of communication. I replied a couple of days later, told her that I've changed, that i wanted her to forgive me and that i didn't want to give up, but if thats what makes her happy, go ahead. I told her we deserve another chance now that i understand her and that I've changed. I wanted to know why she was angry at me and why she hated me.

She later replied that she didn't hate me, that she could nevr feel this way towards me and that she was very happy that I've changed, however she told me that she was seeing this guy, and that she didn't want any chance or relationship with me, not even friendship. That i took too long to change. (I didi, she told me this for over a year)

Im happy because i think we can have a second chance in the future, we ended things in a better way and she gave me hope telling me that she didn't hate me and that she was really happy for me, that she always wanted that when we were together.

I was thinking on disappear for a while, 3 months, and focus on me again. Hoping but not begging that the honeymoon period in her new relationship is over and when this happens. I could be even better with myself and take our second chance, more mature and more experienced.

What do you think??

I would suggest that you accept that this is over, because it currently is. Just live your life and continue to improve yourself. If she comes back down the road you can deal with it then. As of now she's gone.

I think you need the mind set of disappearing from her for good. She is with another guy and you cannot hold out any hope at all that she will come back. You need to go do things for yourself and not to make her come back. Do it for whoever your next relationship might be with. Her being with another guy changes the landscape....a lot and I do not see any hope in what she said to you, actually, quite the opposite sorry to say.

It would be better for you if she's hated you, because hate is a powerful feeling which can imply vulnerability and can turn into love. You don't have that.

You just got indifference. It's nothing.
