Hi,

I would like some advice...I have been chatting to someone I met online about a couple of months ago. He lives in a neighbouring city. He initiated contact and our conversations so far have been over text/IM. He has all the qualities I am looking for in a man. We seem to get along well and I can sense there is a connection. He has indicated a few times that he will come to visit but hasn't taken any action yet (i.e. booking tickets or setting a date) and still continues to initiate chats regularly...I am attracted to his photos but not sure there will be any chemistry until I meet him so don't really want to waste my time or get emotionally invested. I am old fashioned and feel he should take the initiative to visit esp as he is the one who initiated contact. I have already told him that we should try and meet up sooner rather than later ...Should I give this some more time or cut my losses and move on?

Thanks in advance.

Personally I'd take the bull by the horns. Go to his city. Have stuff planned that you would like to do. Tell him you will be there & offer to get lunch. See where things go from there.

Sitting on your hands wondering why he isn't coming to you won't get you anywhere. Simply giving up is no way to get what you want in life.

Offer to meet half way.

That always worked well for me.

And don't pin your hopes all on him - keep looking and messaging others.
