Fiesty Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 So I'm a Junior in college and I met this Sophomore at the beginning of last semester. We live in the same dorm so we see each other often. We both have similar majors and a few other things in common. After getting to know him more, I developed a crush on him. My friends thought he liked me too, but when I sent one of them out on a mission to confirm it, he said we were only friends. I'm not sure if he said it because he actually met it or if he didn't want her knowing. Either way, I'm heartbroken but my infatuation with him has not subsided! I still text him and talk as if that never happened, and he does the same. Thankfully. The other day I was talking to one of our mutual friends and accidentally mentioned that I liked out friend. He told me that my crush is oblivious to flirting and doesn't seem interested in a relationship anyway, he only cares about school work and that it'll be really hard to try to woo him. I figured as much but this confirmed it, he knows him better than I do. Sorry if this was long, but really what I'm asking is if I should keep trying to pursue him or just be his friend and get over it.
d0nnivain Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Sending friends on reconnaissance missions regarding your love life loses its effectiveness once middle school ends. If you like the guy, try to get into a class with him & then suggest studying together. Another option would be for you to invite him to something going on around campus: a basketball game, a spring dance, to hear a lecture etc. 2
Author Fiesty Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 I suppose you are right. Can't get anywhere if I don't try. Thank you for the response.
