I got an offer to go with two male work colleagues who were stuck working in my town (my now ex and them were all good friends) both married and I knew their wives. We had a great night! Best VDay yet!
d0nnivain Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I don't know too many guys who care about Valentine's day. Most think it's a chick's hallmark holiday. I'm planning on making dinner for DH. We'll go out Sunday to avoid the crowds. I also told him years ago never to buy me flowers, especially roses on V-Day because the price hikes sicken me. When I told him that we'd been dating for about 6 months. I think that was the most lit up I'd ever seen a guy's face about the holiday. In the past I have given pink / red gifts: golf shirts, ties, funny boxers, a red tuxedo vest & bow tie combo, etc. There's always some chocolate because some traditions are worth keeping. lol Last year, DH & I gave each other the gift of a trip to Palm Springs which was awesome because Mother Nature dumped two feet of snow on our house while we were away. Since the trip was on the expensive side, we went to the store the day after V-Day & bought half price candy for each other
