Kevin_D Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 My woman wants to go to movies to watch 50 shades. While I'm not that keen on that movie I told her to take her friend with her or we can join on dinner afterwards while I would go walking with my mal, playing cod or simply learning some new programming skill. I may buy her an ice cream and sweets she likes. We are more laid back types. Valentines day doesn't mean smothering each other to death that day. We have our own lives. Haha. I just bought tickets to me and my girlfriend. It's over two hours long... What a nightmare. I guess I'm the best boyfriend ever. Which makes it even more absurd that my ex treated me the way she did!
mtnbiker3000 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 F**k Valentines Day. It's a crock to begin with... Means nothing!! Celebrate YOURSELF every day. You don't need Hallmark to tell you what to do. Love you and everything else is easy. I promise!! 1
erklat Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Haha. I just bought tickets to me and my girlfriend. It's over two hours long... What a nightmare. I guess I'm the best boyfriend ever. Which makes it even more absurd that my ex treated me the way she did! I'm job hunting actively - similar like you, which makes me anxious. I don't have patience for movies lately so I watch series. The only movie I managed to watch while it interested me is Fury and I watched new Captain America in two rounds. I haven't managed to Watch 12 years a slave which I consider artistically the best of these. So being in cinema disinterested would cause me physical pain almost due to anxiety.
organizedchaos Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Having seen the light and moved on, I'll be spending it with my new gf who is better in so many ways, on a weekend getaway out of town.
erklat Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I should have said I will be spending it pining over my ex.
Kevin_D Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I'm job hunting actively - similar like you, which makes me anxious. I had a job interview at a big company today. I hope it went okay. My self-confidence could have been better.
KBarletta Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I will be buying a box of candy, cooking a delicious steak dinner and cuddling on the couch watching a movie with the one true love of my life ... my daughter. It will be lovely. 6
MovingOnIsHard Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I adopted a dog a week after my ex and i broke up.. it was a blessing. I've always wanted a dog and now i have one. So this valentine's day, it's my doggie and I :-) settling down with movies, treats, and pedicure for myself 1
ralfgarnett Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Well its the first time in 20 years I have been alone on V-D but its just another date on the calendar, going to do a bit of work, then maybe lunchtime might go out for a pie and a pint, strenghth health and happiness everyone I hope we all get through ok, I am thinking of and sending my best wishes to all the lonely and broken hearts out there, god bless you all, 2
Feelbettersoon Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Sending my wishes to you all too. Today is actually the hardest 'holiday' of the past 7 months because it's a day I know my ex will be with her, having a nice time. Half the days nearly over anyway
preraph Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Do you own a dart board or can you get access to one? Tape a photo of him to the board & proceed to throw darts until you obliterate the picture. Eat your favorite chocolate & blast anti love songs, like Love Stinks while you are doing this. It was one of the most cathartic Valentine's Days I ever had. A woman after my own heart. We didn't even reserve our cultish behavior for Valentine's Day. We had meetings where we did secret things and cut out green lilypads out of construction paper and glued the men's photos to them who were deemed to be "feckless toads." Champagne and music and usually a mission of some sort.
Nolan 93 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Well it saddens me to want my ex for my valentine and she's having hers today. But I rode my Suzuki gsxr around town all day today with some buddies, and went to the gym twice today. V day is just another day to me, I always show how I feel with my significant other every day. Lol
