Should I give my ex (whose still my friend) a b-day present?

My girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me six days ago, she felt she was too young to be in such a serious relationship and she just wanted to be alone for a while. We talk everyday, nothing romantic, just as friends. Her birthday is on April 17th and I had already gotten her some gifts before she broke up with me. If I give them to her will she think I'm trying to win her back, or should I not give them to her? She wants to spend the day before or the day after her birhday wit me cuz she's gonna spend her actual birthday with her parent's. What do you guys sugest

I am in the same situation. My ex's birthday is 21st and I am also wondering the same thing. My ex will be 30. She begged me a couple of weeks ago that if we ever do split please dont make it before my 30th. then she dumps me!!! anyway I think the best thing to do would maybe just send a card. that way she knos that you are thinking of her but you dont have to spend too much money. If possible take the gifts back and get a refund.

I did send the now exH a present for his birthday last June but It was a revenge type thing just to make his fiance' mad as hell! hehehehe!

 

And no it wasn't because I wanted him back, that was a reality I faced when he left!

 

Now I will remember in silence his birthday it just doesn't matter any longer!

Send something, because birthday's should be about nothing other than remebering a special person. But don't make some over blown romantic gesture or give anything 'meaningful'. A card and a small gift is probably best, and don't make a big deal of it, maybe just give it to her just as you are sying goodbye, sort of 'oh by the way this here's your gift'. Good luck.

This is one of the reasons we have receipts. I hope you hung onto them!
