This weekend is the first weekend in a couple weeks that she's been free. It also happens to be Valentines Day and I'd like to take her out on a second date. I can tell she really likes me. Anyways, I plan to take her to a nice restaurant uptown and then after I plan to walk to her favorite clothing store a few blocks away and tell her I will buy her something, as long as I get to pick it out. She doesn't get to pick it. I think it would be a fun way of buying her something. As long as I make sure she likes it too, I won't buy anything ugly haha
Jessie1231 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Maybe I'm just weird, but a guy trying to buy me something like clothing makes me uncomfortable. I've had guys that I've been dating for a while buy things if they are with me and they kind of insist, but this is after dating for several months. Taking me to buy clothes on the second date just seems awkward to me. The dinner sounds nice, but maybe pick something else to do after that doesn't involve buying her clothes.

Try a movie or some other activity, or maybe do some home cooking for her. I agree with above poster, don't offer to buy her any clothing. Bad bad idea..
