smackie9 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 If a man had sent me this message I would have told him to get lost lol You must get this a lot.....it sounds bs don't it? Guys eat this sh it up tho.
lovexocoach Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Nothing wrong or offensive in your message. You tried. He didn't answer/respond for some reason - whatever that was. If he was interested he would have taken you up on the offer or suggested an alternative meet and greet.
Author Toodaloo Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 Well I am not going to respond. I figure it was just an offer and if he wants to he can call or text. Got a really busy week this week so if he is lucky he may get hold of me and if not c'est la vie. Another tactic tried and failed but never mind. He doesn't know me so I am not going to take offence. 1

However, that said, if I was the guy, this might scare me off! Too quick and as someone said earlier, I'm one of those who prefers getting to know you a little bit through messages first. I wouldn't just up and leave though. I'd decline your offer and explain that I'd like to exchange a few more messages, and then ask you out.

So do you want to go for a walk later Bull in a china shop but hey ho! I am far from perfect so never mind. Perhaps he will come back after a few days? Who knows? As for the dogs I guess I am a bit mad on them. I certainly have enough but they are inoffensive and fun to be around. People come in the office and don't notice them until they start appearing from their various nooks and crannies where they like to settle... or I get up from my chair and they see one asleep behind me! Love me = love my dogs I am afraid! 1
Author Toodaloo Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 Well I did end up sending another message. Very low key and relaxed. If no response I will not worry. I also sent another chap a message... thats enough on line dating for one week!
elaine567 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Another tactic tried and failed but never mind. The tactic may not have worked in this case, but the tactic itself can not be viewed as useless yet. One attempt is not a big enough sample to prove conclusively that the tactic doesn't ever work. 1

Ah yes but how is anyone supposed to know what will work with one and not another until they know the person and how are you supposed to know someone until you spend time with them? Catch 22 of on line dating! Out tonight so better get some make up on and brush my hair! Think I will have better luck talking to human beings rather than a computer screen!
