Ainsleigh Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 My boyfriend was previously in a four year relationship, my boyfriend and i are 4 years in age difference im 19 hes 23. Last night we got to a party all was good, we go home that night lay in bed and we bring up his ex girlfriend, how it was a long distance relationship, he wanted to move in with her and then she cut him loose. He told me that he cried for a while and was really upset for about two weeks then he just got over it... He tells me that i am the only girl in his life now and he only cares about me. Just curious if men talk about there ex girlfriends this way if it means they still miss them or if they are actually done with there ex... Help please -Thanks!
veggirl Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 How long ago did they break up? 2 weeks to get over a 4 yr relationship? Doubt it, esp when he was the one rejected.
Gaeta Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Here is an advice that will be good for all of your life: Do not date men freshly out of relationships. 3 months isn't long enough to get over a 4 year relationship especially if he is the one who got dumped. After a break up you need to spend some time alone to reconnect with yourself and figure out what you want out of life and love. If you don't give yourself this important time then you just carry your issues to the next relationship. Eventually you will need that time with yourself whether it's 1 month down the road or 1 year down the road. 2
ktya Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 We all have pasts. We need to be open to listening to our partners when they talk about their pasts, even when it involves exes.
